Alternatives to advertising
If the expense of advertising or fears about its effectiveness puts you off, read on!
If you don't think advertising is right way for you to promote your product or service, there are some alternatives:
- If used consistently over the mid-to-long term, Social Media tools like Twitter and LinkedIn can be a great way to let people know about what you do. You'll need to dedicate someone in-house to manage it (and give them the time they need to create the content and send it out)
- Create an event, with your brand at the centre. An competition with a dedicated micro-site and online entry would be ideal. Tell people about it using the type of social media tools discussed above
- Media outlets are often looking for interesting content. You could consider producing an advertorial and selling it in to the editorial team
- Offer visitors to your website the chance to download a whitepaper in return for their permission to send them an occasional email. This is a great way to demonstrate your industry knowledge alongside some gentle selling.
If any of these appeal or you're interesting in discussing other ways to spread the word about your brand, contact us.
